Sadly, I actually think SeeClickFix isn't effective at all. From all my issues I believe only 2 things may have been actually fixed because of my post. The process for the city to get things cleaned up on private land is long.... Talk to landlord... issue warning ....reissue warning.... issue order to comply.... reissue order to comply..... issue work order... the city gets around to cleaning graffiti... takes months. Most things that I have closed, those responsible have actually just done the correct thing and cleaned up or fixed.
I also have commented to seeclickfix themselves that the person that posts an issue cannot close an acknowledged by the city issue, so you actually can't tell when the city has fixed something not in your area.
Also the point system is a little skewed. I have actually purposely put things up that " will be fixed " and not acknowledged by the city, like tall grass so I can get extra points when they are fixed. I have noticed others have put up hundreds of graffiti images but 0 are fixed... a hard way to get points, since they will never be closed ( See comment above )
And one last thing is the neighbours list of people with civic points around you isn't accurate at all. I'm around 2000, Dermot GW has over 4000 and isn't on it. Go figure.
But on a happy note, it's great to see people involved in their city. :-)

The City of Toronto doesn't own or maintain poles; streetlight outages/issues and damaged or graffitied poles can be reported to Toronto Hydro via their web form: https://www.torontohydro.com/sites/electricsystem/residential/customercare/pages/reportastreetlightout.aspx
For this issue it would probbaly just be simplest and the most effective lesson to the company doing this to just pull the sign off and recycle it!
I'll close this off (you can reopen if you disagree but I'm pretty sure I'm correct. :^) )
